Zachary Dupin is a medical student at University of Nevada
School of Medicine with a reputation for his compassion and enthusiasm. He has
volunteered in medical settings for over seven years and is passionate about
building a career to help others.
Volunteering at the Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno,
Nevada, for two years before beginning medical school helped Zachary Dupin seedeeper into the medical field and reaffirm his commitment to becoming a doctor.
It also taught him valuable lessons and skills.
“My primary objectives while [volunteering] in the Infusion
center,” said Mr. Zachary Dupin, “is to improve patient comfort and allow nurses to
spend as much time focusing on taking care of their patients as possible . . .
[My] tasks include checking on patients to see if they or their visitors need
anything, filing, retrieving items for the nurses and cleaning cubicles after
patients leave . . . Furthermore, I sometimes simply sit and talk with patients
during downtime to keep them company.”
Those who worked with Zachary Dupin as a volunteer know him for
